Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.

Finca life

The finca is simple and authentic. We have upcycled all the furniture, kept the old traditional wood stoves in the rooms and decorated the small studios with furniture from the 70s.

Our water comes from an underground spring that is pumped up the hill 100 metres by solar energy.
The water is crystal clear and drinkable. We get our electricity from solar energy and the wood for heating comes from our own forest.

Our eco-pool on the mountain top is not an ordinary swimming pool, but a cool, clear, water oasis where wild goats, birds and frogs find much needed drinking water in the summer months. Plants and fish ensure that the water stays clean and cool - ideal for wild swimmers who want to take a cool dip after a day at the beach. We recommend that every guest has at least one glass of wine while watching the crystal clear starry sky, and at least one pot of coffee at sunrise!

We have created a quiet and peaceful place where all visitors can switch off from the internet and live at a slower pace. Start the day serenely, collect wood, make campfires, take time to look at the stars and listen to the birds singing.

Back in 2016 Sergi and I were asked to look after the Finca by the original owner, who had spent the best part of 25 years with her late husband creating a small ecological, self-sufficient paradise in the natural park Llevant, near Artá. We had both been on the island for almost 20 years and had explored the wilder mountains and rough coast extensively.

Although the island is often thought of as a tourist hub, it has many hidden corners that are  still wild and completely untouched.

Over time Sergi and I have  created a home which is completely off grid and run on natural resources, we have upcycled the original furniture and maintained the fragile infrastructure built with so much love and attention to detail.

The Finca is  a never-ending project with many possibilities for small retreats, workshops and most importantly a place of calm where people can come to relax and disconnect.
